A bold modern kitchen with exposed beams and lots of light.

We got rid of the upper cabinets that hung over kitchen peninsula to open up the kitchen to the dining room and add a spacious feel to the kitchen. We exposed the weight-bearing beam the at was left over the peninsula and painted it a deep grey to match the exposed living room beams as well as the house's exterior color. [see the dramatic before and after below] We went with cool bold colors, lots of contrast and sleek lines to give this space a contemporary modern look.
